Gilgo Beach killings suspect charged with fourth woman's death
RIVERHEAD, N.Y. (AP) — A New York architect charged in a string of slayings known as the Gilgo Beach killings was accused Tuesday in the death of a fourth woman, a Connecticut mother of two who vanished in 2007 and whose remains were found more than three years later along a coastal highway on Long Island. Rex Heuermann was formally charged in the killing of Maureen Brainard-Barnes, months after having been labeled the prime suspect in her death when he was arrested in July in the deaths of three other women.
GOP state senator says he's never met a hungry person in Minnesota
A Minnesota Republican said he opposed a bill to guarantee meals for all students because he had "yet to meet a person in Minnesota who is hungry."
State Sen. Steve Drazkowski made the comments Tuesday as he argued against HF 5, a proposal to dedicate roughly $400 million of taxpayer money to feeding the state's children.
Drazkowski, elected to the state Senate last year, pushed to use the money instead to boost proficiency levels in reading and math.

LSUs Kim Mulkey explodes on ref, ejected during teams blowout victory
LSU women’s basketball coach Kim Mulkey was around long enough to see the No. 7 Tigers finish off Northwestern State on Sunday as she was ejected while the team was up 39 points.
Mulkey was upset about a charge called on Aneesah Morrow. The coach got into a tiff with referee Timothy Greene, and she was given two technical fouls and an ejection.

Regal Cinemas may shut down theaters across United States
BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — According to CNN Business, Cineworld Group, the owner of Regal Cinemas, said it is considering temporarily closing its theaters this week "but a final decision has not yet been reached."
After closing for several months due to COVID 19, Regal Cinemas began reopening most of its 778 theaters world-wide in July. Boise movie fanatics are disappointed at the possibility of theatres closing once again.
