Orbit Logic acquired by aerospace and defense contractor Boecore
WASHINGTON — Orbit Logic, a developer of mission planning and scheduling software for satellite ground systems, has been acquired by aerospace and defense engineering contractor Boecore, the companies announced Feb. 13.
Boecore, based in Colorado Springs, Colorado, provides systems engineering, cybersecurity and software services to the Defense Department and contractors in the defense, space and missile defense sectors. The company in January 2022 was acquired by Enlightenment Capital, a private equity firm based in the Washington, D.

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. said Friday that it will close 269 of its 11,600 stores, including 154 in the U.S. — nine in California — as the company tries to find its footing in a difficult retail climate.
The retailer also said that in the next year it plans to open more than 140 new stores nationwide. Plans include opening or expanding nine stores in California.
