BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — According to CNN Business, Cineworld Group, the owner of Regal Cinemas, said it is considering temporarily closing its theaters this week "but a final decision has not yet been reached."
After closing for several months due to COVID 19, Regal Cinemas began reopening most of its 778 theaters world-wide in July.
Boise movie fanatics are disappointed at the possibility of theatres closing once again.
"As someone who worked at a movie theater as a kid, it really hurts because it changes the experience," said Aaron Gorham. "I hope they don't end up shutting down."
Last month, the Regal Cinema owner reported a loss of $1.6 billion in the first half of 2020.
