The wait is over as Riot has finally announced the dates of League of Legends Worlds 2022, along with the teams, seeding, and more. Here is everything we know about it.

LoL Worlds is one of the most premium esports tournaments where the top teams battle to become the world champion. As we are getting close to LoL Worlds 2022, Riot has announced the complete details regarding its start dates, schedule, teams, seeding, and more.
Fans have been eagerly waiting for this announcement and if you are one of them, start preparing for the trip and read below to find out the complete information.
LoL Worlds 2022 Schedule And Venue
Worlds 2022 will begin on September 29 in Mexico City and will run till November 5 and the finals will be held in San Francisco. You can find the schedule and venue for different stages below.
- Play-Ins: September 29 to October 4 at the Arena Esports Stadium at Artz Pedregal in Mexico City, Mexico
- Groups: October 7 to 10 and October 13 to 16 at the Hulu Theater in Madison Square Garden in New York City
- Quarterfinals: October 20 to 23 at the Hulu Theater in Madison Square Garden in New York City
- Semifinals: October 29 to 30 at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia
- Finals: November 5 at Chase Center in San Francisco, California

Teams and Seeding
A total of 24 teams will be participating in Worlds 2022 and you can find the list below. In addition to this, LCL will not be able to send a representative to the tournament, so their slot has been given to LEC.
Out of these 24 teams, 12 teams will directly qualify for the group stage, while the rest will have to go through play-ins.

- Japan (LJL) - 1st Seed
- Latin America (LLA) - 1st Seed
- Oceania (LCO) -1st Seed
